Competitors are you Green with Envy?
Ah they grow up so fast! My mater babies are practically teenagers now, budding true leaves and nice sturdy stems. I sure wish I had a zoom lens, I could make them look like giants! But to keep things honest, I placed a dime in the photo so that you can see the scale of my accomplishment. Side view... I'd hate to hide behind my camera shot! Notice how many babies are pictured... Let me introduce them to you. From left to right - Scarlet, Ruby, Red, Rosie, Wildfire, Cherry and Cranberry.

Well congratulations Sherrie. You have hit another milestone. Nice work! Oh by the way - where did you find the miniture dime?
Just to keep track -Today is the 22nd and you planted on the 9th so the first sign of true leaves happened on the 13th day after planting.
Also, what names are on the tombstones of the two that passed on?
I must admit that those are pretty plants, and I liked the dime to keep things honest. I'll pick up the practice after I post my last two shots. We'll have to see if the Mater 'Hubble Space Telescope' Master follows suit. I think that's a good nickname for him actually - The Hubble Master :)
One thing though, I don't think naming them is a good idea. Because once you start naming them, you start getting attached to them. And once you're attached to them, then it hurts all the more when they let you down.
I think I'll just take the George Foreman route, where he named all his son's George Junior. Mine are all going to be named 'Kick-Butt'.
And in case you like to see - I HAVE 14 KICK-BUTTS AS OF THIS EVENING!!!
